"Take your time"..........we are always being told !
Patience is a skill that can take a lifetime to perfect
As a gardener.....I have come to understand the subtle nature of all things
When Summer arrives we rush forward to stand in the sun and soak up the warmth, we fight for space, we invent ourselves over and over and reinvent ourselves again to stand out
In one corner of the garden there is an ordinary looking plant, its leaves are small and it grows quietly where others would wither.......in this particular corner, something extraordinary is occurring
When all the fuss of Spring and Summer fades and damp cold days reduce most other life to a wasteland....in this corner, when nobody notices........she awakens
As a gardener, I have learned a valuable lesson
When you least expect it
Wonderful things happen
So today.......Wait......when everyone else has fallen over with exhaustion from being all they can be and the world thinks it has seen it all.......Wait
Your time will come, brighten the dull corner of your garden, awaken when the world least expects it and dance
