Set Them Free !

Write something today, it doesn't matter what it is, just get the words down on paper. As humans we consider ourselves above most other beings on the planet....unfortunately we rarely attend to the daily chores, the clearing out, the cleaning up, removing clutter from our lives and our minds.

When the first computer ever created stumbled out of the cave and onto the open land, did it understand its own ability.

The first computer was us, the hard drive, the storage system that holds images, words and so much more. Our journey forward as a species has been recorded and stored within us for longer than we understand, yet we go on assuming we can add to the knowledge without passing it on, downloading it as a resource for others to find and aid them in their journey.

This arrogance will be our undoing, ultimately. Too many of us assume there is an infinite abundance around us, to be utilized as and when we feel the need, as Lords of our own domain we trample forward, rarely considering the consequence or cost to the world around us.

We all have the ability to learn, to make our mistakes....yes I too have made my fair share, but hope that in those moments I have learnt something, about myself and the others I share this world with. My life and all it consists of may not be to everyone's idea of perfection and some days I am inclined to agree, but it is mine.

I often wonder if the great artists, writers and creators ever stopped to consider the effect they would have on the world long after they were gone........probably not, they obviously went about their day, recording, downloading and moving on.

So consider this, what you do today could possibly have an effect on a life hundreds of years from now.....assuming humans leave a planet worth living on of course, but my point is this, each and everyone of us have a hand in the creation of this world.

People we may never meet may learn from something you have shaped, be it a tree planted, a recipe written down on a scrap of paper or deep meaningful poetry.......never underestimate your ability, you may not change things today or even tomorrow....but the possibility is there !
