A Cage With a View !

As you wander through life, do you consider yourself free ?

Free of responsibility......free of debt......free of guilt !

Every one of us creates a space...a place we call home, a life, friends, an occupation.

As time passes some fill their lives with so much that it becomes difficult to breath....to see past the clutter, mental and physical !

I have often been accused of never settling in one place, putting down roots, building a solid foundation for myself, my family and those around me.....sometimes I appear aloof, always a little separate from society...ready to run at a moments notice if the walls start closing in.

In my travel's I have seen the worlds people create for themselves, from the furnishings to the clothing that in some cases have cost a small fortune and yet they cannot see the blue sky above...they would never consider walking alone in a forest listening to the sounds only nature can provide.

On the odd occasion I too have been caught in these traps.....wanting to be somebody important, dressed in expensive clothing commanding respect from those around me.....expecting the best of everything and demanding more than the world can give.

So look around at your life, your home, the people you interact with on a daily basis......if there is the slightest hint of unease in what you see, you must examine this, ask what it is, why it is you feel a certain way......ignorance is bliss it is often said......for me, that is a lie, a trap that will leave you locked in a place with no escape.

The cage I have constructed for myself is one of past fears, learned behavior.....I may not have a mansion by the ocean where I can look down upon my subjects  but I would rather leave this world knowing I was loved, passing on what I can to those that need it more than I.

So once again, I remind you to look around at your life......is it a cage with a view that you will never escape from......or are you free ?
