it is not for me to question where the words come from, I just know they are not intended for me, I give voice to my eyes and all they capture. Inspiration and creativity comes from the most humble and unexpected places and for that I shall always be grateful. I write of Love or loss, people and places that move me to tears and of course there will always be food......Passion comes in many a strange and wonderful package !

Give a Man a Fish...
There is an old saying..."Give a man a fish and he will feed his family for a day, teach the man how to fish and he will feed his family for a life time"
We are now in the turbulent times of an election and yes there are promises a plenty.....there is so much good coming our way....IF you vote for me !
Living in a place where you can observe daily life amongst the locals is a valuable thing, watching the daily struggle, living amongst it, experiencing it up close and personal teaches a person as much about themselves as it does about society !
I consider myself a bit of a simpleton....This doesn't mean I am weak of mind and judgment by any means, it does however mean that I see things as they are !
I do NOT expect or demand hand-outs from anyone or anything, I was raised in a home that taught some very simple truths....if you cannot afford a thing, then you go without...IF however you apply yourself, work for the thing you want so much, save up for it...then you can self-fund your own future.
I often hear how poverty will end if there is enough money...which honestly is the biggest mistruth I have ever heard !
When and only when each of us takes personal responsibility for our actions, will our direction in life improve....DO NOT send your children to school without food expecting another to feed them while you devote money to smoking cigarettes that will ultimately kill you...as I say, I am a simpleton and yes it really is that simple ?
If you expect something in life, then you MUST be prepared to contribute something in return, somebody pays somewhere down the line for the lifestyle each of us choose.
Teach a man to fish and the village will survive....life lessons will be passed from Father to Son....Mother to Daughter and the foundation upon which we stand will support every single person.
Expect something for nothing and ultimately that's exactly what your village....your wider community will receive in return !
