When time allows, and I know this can be a rare indulgence for many.....consider your daily interactions with those around you !
In February 2016, a small but dedicated group came together in an attempt to bring about a social scene within our own area....in a short space of time, others came to the group.
Somebody knew somebody and this lady was an expert in this....a man she knew could fix that and so it went !
Months later, we find ourselves in the centre of something wonderful...the odd thing is the interactions, the people that come out of nowhere....maybe they were there all along but just need a nudge in the right direction !
The talent we find ourselves standing amongst leaves us astounded, every day we marvel at those we have met, this ever growing pool of individuals that selflessly, generously engage...teach...guide and encourage others in the group to grow, to build and ultimately strive towards something great for our region.
We came here by chance....somewhat like Dorothy and Toto....minus the ruby slippers....its a curse having big feet !
As time passes, we find others in the same situation, people that have drifted into this town and decided to settle, to stay because something good was happening, something different....suddenly realising that being different, maybe even a little odd is not a bad thing !
So what of tomorrow ?
Only the Universe can answer that one...for now we are enjoying the journey, every day is different much like the folk we encounter and for the first time in our lives, we belong to something wonderful, exciting and ultimately life changing !
So if society has labeled you a misfit....an oddity.....a little weird....then pull up a chair and join us, together we will bring laughter to this world, shine light where there was none before and change a few pre-conceived ideas along the way of how things should be !
