Having an ability to see the world around you is a wonderful thing....to really see !
Please don't get me wrong....I like my creature comforts, being able to treat myself to some of life's little luxuries, but I always factor in the cost...to myself and to those around me.
I see people lose their way every single day, they build their dreams, reaching higher and higher...knowing when enough is enough can honestly be the key to survival !
We all want life to be good, to have a roof over our head and not have to fight for every penny to pay the bills that continue to flood in...but consider where you are in life, what you have achieved and how often you can reach out to those you love and hold them close ?
I personally enjoy the view from my small patch of dirt, I try not to build my dreams so high that the sun is blocked for others to see their way forward and if I can help them stand taller I will...it can be very lonely on your high mountain, the air is much thinner...so you tend to restrict your movements in any one direction, it can make for a life of cold solitude !
I will never stand in the way of another's success, that is their journey...but I do wonder what it will serve as a legacy for those coming behind us, what lessons do we teach the young ?....Climb higher and higher no matter the cost ?...or be inclusive in your dreams, spread the joy so that every single person can indulge in a small patch of dirt to call their own !
So consider...do we continue on building monuments to ourselves to leave to others when we are gone ?
Think about tomorrow...mountains are tall, majestic and quite beautiful, but very hard to reach...molehills on the other hand are a result of hard work, being in touch with the ground beneath you and in some cases those around you...it is really that easy !
Only you can decide how high you climb and those you leave behind !
