Maybe its the season ?
One can never really be sure where these thoughts come from.... but I find myself contemplating the journey thus far !
It is with delight and constant surprise that I acknowledge the position I find myself in, one of abundance and wealth....not in the financial sense, as money rarely gives one a feeling of warmth and security.
Money is fleeting.....it behaves like fog and can be gone as speedily as it arrived !
Friendships on the other hand endure !
I find myself observing the ebb and flow of the Universe....understanding my place as never before, surrounded by likeminded souls that do what they do for the fun of it. Our collective expectations fuel the journey....each of us brings something to the table without a thought or desire to gain something laced with greed....each person is there because of the unwritten understanding that friendship, fun and laughter will carry you further in life than a pocket full of gold coins !
So, here we are a few days away from Christmas and I ask my inner self, what is it that I would like to find on that most magical of mornings where the collective hopes and dreams of so many gather ?
I honestly cannot answer in a single word....I have so much already and for that I am grateful.
If there was one thing I desire it would be this, I would like every person to feel what I feel, that warmth in my heart, that sense of belonging to something greater than myself....it is a simple wish and maybe a little naïve to expect others to understand, but as long as there are groups of people that come together to share something of themselves, there will be an opportunity waiting to surprise you !
So today.....count your fortune and give thanks !
