I wonder if I have a multiple personality disorder at times...yes I have voices in my head; don't panic, they don't tell me to cause harm or mayhem !
They do fight though, amongst themselves and with me mainly, for some strange reason its when I am vacuuming or doing some other mundane task that they seem more vocal.
I suppose its healthy that I give them space to play...in my head ?
I have a talent for reading faces, if you spend the time you can see war erupting within most people, arguments going on in their heads; unfortunately society is such that these wars sometimes spill out into the real world.
We have become so crammed in together that this little or no space to breath, to be in a place of calm let alone contentment.
Governments and those supposedly in charge are voted into power by each of us and I say this loosely as power can be thin ice that we step out onto...we let these people loose upon the world and in many cases to our own detriment.
We have lost all sense of responsibility, self awareness seems to have become lost in the smoke and mirror show that they perform; they too are as fearful in life...admitting they don't know can be a dreadful thing, to admit one is as ordinary as the man down the road takes away power of any kind.
Village life was so much easier, our expectations were lower, our demands less !
Until we stop selling dreams to each other, offering up baubles and bangles...snake oil if you will; the war within will continue.
Our peace will never be, there will be constant chatter and very little rest to replenish the soul and slow the heart.
it is not for me to question where the words come from, I just know they are not intended for me, I give voice to my eyes and all they capture. Inspiration and creativity comes from the most humble and unexpected places and for that I shall always be grateful. I write of Love or loss, people and places that move me to tears and of course there will always be food......Passion comes in many a strange and wonderful package !
