Another year has passed, so much has passed...have I learned anything ?
Discovering Friendship is around you despite your apparent sense of solitude, much like a glass of fine port....a feeling deep within, a warmth that enables you to glow and deflects all the bad that goes on in this world.
Understanding and obtaining love isn't a right...it is however a learned process....and something, with the increasing years I have become acutely aware of !
We move in time with each other, there is little we can complain about, life is good...no doubt it could be better, but being thankful for each other and content in our own company sustains us....it actually drives us forwards to explore new horizons.
I don't look back now, there is the occasional glance but no sense of longing for what was once upon a time.
The year is rapidly moving on with or without us and I wonder what tomorrow will bring...I don't fear it as I once did, it is what it is.
I look forward to time spent together with Friends...Family and my Man....without Him, my life would be a very different landscape...which I constantly remind myself of !
We must, at all costs keep ourselves in check, losing sight of what we have is a dangerous path...a lonely trek into solitude and despair.
There is much to be thankful for this year and my heart overflows with gratitude for it all, for all the laughter, the love and gift of those around me, if a person is to be judged in life by how many people devote time to their being....then I am blessed a thousand times over...and over again !
Don't look to hard for my year, it seems to be passing and that's okay......hopefully there will be another one along soon and if the last few are to be held up as an example of how to live, then I accept the coming year with joy.
