We sometimes find ourselves standing in the most unexpected places, far from what is familiar !
And yet, there is a sense of belonging in these situations and places, the people you meet and the bonds formed.
Family has taken on a very different meaning for me in recent years...I find myself surrounded by beautiful souls that are far removed from those I once knew.
The past can often be a rocky path that can cause the odd bruised knee, but it is necessary.....it leads you to where you are now, home.
I often marvel at the people around me now, a diverse mix, each bringing joy to the table.....I often wonder how I got here too, but soon realize there are greater forces at work.
We are all given what we need in life and it is important to reflect on your journey, those you have met, those that have passed and those that now surround you...holding you higher to enable a better view in life.
I relish the company of strangers, as these people are my family.....examine your group, your pack, your community....and you will surprise yourself at how links are made, friendships are formed and love is found.
Acknowledge the journey and the importance of those that reach out to you...those that prevent you from slipping away unnoticed !
